Introduction

Correlator is an interactive workstation software product for displaying and depth-shifting/merging multiple-hole core.

The program serves four main functions:

  • COMPOSITING - Depth-shifting of multiple-hole core data
  • SPLICING - Construction of complete, spliced sequences from multiple-hole data
  • LOG-CORE INTEGRATION - Reconstruction of core data by comparing core data curve with log data curve
  • AGE MODEL AND TIMESERIES DEVELOPMENT - Display bio-stratigraphic and magneto-stratigraphic age control data, Generate continuous time-series records, applied time series to the spliced data records


Status

Vers. 1.68 Release Note.

    • At the beginning of splice task, we can append cores without any prior ties.
    • Add "Lock top of core" option for core-log manual-tie
    • Naming bug between Leg-Site and Core Number (Fixed)
